WWW Conservation USA - Treasurer & Secretary

Born and raised in Hawaii, and currently residing in Southern California, I have always been fascinated with animals and loved watching wildlife documentaries. While my career path did not follow this passion, my personal time is often spent outdoors on nature walks, exploring local open spaces, and volunteering for a dog rescue.

In 2012, I planned a "bucket list" African adventure to see the gorillas of Rwanda and go on safari in South Africa.  That initial trip exposed me to the magic of safari!  My lifelong beliefs about animals and nature fell right in line with that trip's emphasis; the importance of protecting wildlife and the environments they inhabit.  What was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip, evolved into annual visits to the African bush.  Over the years, I have traveled to Zimbabwe, Botswana, Rwanda, and various regions of South Africa, and I look forward to new destinations in the future.

In 2021, I explored the Greater Kruger region for the first time under the expert planning of WWW Safaris.  Based on my interests, Michelle planned a personalized itinerary during which I was able to go out into the field with a variety of conservationists and witness first-hand the amazing work they do.  That experience further fed my curiosity of all things African Conservation.  In 2023, I joined the board of directors for WWW Conservation's USA non-profit organization.  I am honored to serve with such a talented team of individuals who dedicate their time to ignite change in the world.
