Supporting the largest tracking database in Southern Africa

WWW supporter Chris donated an elephant collaring operation, supporting the research by Elephants Alive. With over 2 million data points and 200 elephant collarings, their project of tracking elephant movements across national boundaries has resulted in one of the largest databases in Southern Africa. The data is used to identify wildlife corridors that connect Protected Areas, in order to safeguard these pathways and inform evidence-based mitigation strategies to reduce human-elephant conflict in rural communities situated along the corridors.
