Male Lion evades rescue for two days

March 2023
Luckily we found and desnared him eventually!

This male lion  was snared on the Phalaborwa copper mine and reported on a private property, adjacent to Balule NR. After initial, unsuccessful attempts at capture, he was located and darted on Doreen on Balule NR a few days later. The costs of the operation were split between our Snare Rescue Group and The Balule Anti-Poaching & Community Trust. Click to watch a video of this operation here.
